Orange Icing

This orange icing is great on orange cupcakes as well as vanilla or white cupcakes.  I have even used this orange icing on sugar cookies!

Ingredients

• 1  1/2 cups powdered sugar
• 1/8 teaspoon salt
• 1 tablespoon grated orange rind
• 3 tablespoons soft butter
• 2-3 tablespoons orange juice

Orange Icing Directions

Mix all ingredients together starting with only 2 tablespoons of the orange juice.  If frosting is too thick then add the additional tablespoon of orange juice.

Topping Tip:

After frosting with orange icing, top cupcakes with a small mandarin orange slice, a candied orange peel, or even a small twisted slice of a ripe orange.  Enjoy!
