How to Make Cupcakes in the Airfryer?

To make air fryer cupcakes, be sure to cook them at a lower temperature than you would in the oven. You will need to cook them in batches because four or five cupcakes can fit in the basket.

I've been baking with an air fryer for a while now and here is my favorite cupcake recipe my family loves. My kids love chocolate cupcakes so here is the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder ((unsweetened))
  • 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 3-4 tbsp butter

Equipment

  • 1 Air Fryer
  • 1 Big Mixing Bowl
  • Silicone Cupcake Liners

Instructions

  • Take a big bowl and start mixing ingredients together. Melt the butter and mix sugar and butter together. Then add milk, eggs, and vanilla extract and mix well. Add the remaining ingredients, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt.
  • I like to use silicone cupcake liners for easier pouring. If you have paper liners only, you can double them to get them sturdier. Get your liners and pour the batter in about half or a little more than half. Place the liners with batter carefully in the air fryer.
  • Set the temperature to 350F on the air fryer and cook the cupcakes for 10-12 minutes.
  • Check the cupcakes after 10 minutes with a toothpick. If the toothpick comes out clean, your cupcakes are done.
  • Wait when your cupcakes have cooled down. I like to cool my cupcakes down using a cooling rack but you can just place them on the plate to cool down. Once they are cooled down, you can serve your cupcakes with whip cream, frosting, or sprinkles.
You can also freeze your cupcakes if you want to eat them weeks from now.
