1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9 inch cake pan.
2. In a mixer, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, and mix until fully combined.
3. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt and mix until evenly combined. Stir in the strawberries.
4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick or cake tester comes out clean when inserted into the center of the cake. Let the cake cool in the pan for 5 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
