Are you in the mood for something sweet and delicious? Try our chocolate cherry brownies with whipped white chocolate cherry ganache – they are sure to please.

When I planned my Fourth of July weekend, I knew I had to make some amazing chocolate cherry brownies. I thought about all the flavors I could combine and ended up deciding on chocolate and cherry. I couldn’t wait to try them!

On Saturday night, I started my brownies by combining melted salted butter, brown sugar, and cocoa powder in a medium bowl. I stirred in baking powder and baking soda to give them a little lift and then added eggs, one at a time, until everything was evenly blended. I spooned the batter into the prepared pans and baked them for 25 minutes, until a toothpick or cake tester came out clean.

I let the brownies cool in the pans for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once they were cool, I sliced them into 12 even pieces and layered them with whipped white chocolate cherry ganache. I finished the brownies by garnishing them with additional whipped white chocolate cherry ganache and a few fresh blackberries.

I couldn’t have been more proud of my chocolate cherry brownies! They were delicious and so distinctive – I couldn’t believe I was eating brownies with cherries in them! The brownies were moist and flavorfully rich, and the whipped white chocolate cherry ganache was the perfect finale. They were definitely an adventure worth taking – I highly recommend them!

What is the best chocolate to use?

There is no one “best” chocolate to use for brownies. However, a good choice would be a semi-sweet chocolate, such as Dove House Blend.
